Job summary

Henkels & McCoy, Inc. in Pomona, CA seeks a Power Planner I to join the Technical Services team.

You will help prepare drawings, construction plans, and material estimates for overhead and underground Power projects, collaborating with engineers, designers, and planners. Ideal candidates have at least two years of electrical transmission/distribution experience, knowledge of Power Delivery standards, and proficiency with MS Office, AutoCAD, and pole structural analysis software.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of electrical transmission and/or distribution experience.
• Knowledge of Power Delivery Projects, both Overhead and Underground.
• Familiarity with Power design/construction standards and relevant regulations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare preliminary and detailed drawings by hand or using CAD software.
• Prepare construction plans, material requirements, and cost estimates for overhead and underground projects.
• Assist in development of conductor replacement and other major overhead/underground projects.
• Review field data and meet customer requirements with latest updates and technologies.
• Coordinate access to facilities when applicable.
• Lead field/site meetings and interact with clients/developers/local agencies.
• Field check design layouts; implement redlines and office checks.
