Job summary

SkyVest Renewables, a renewable power platform, seeks a Manager of Power Origination and Commercial to structure and negotiate PPAs and other offtake arrangements for its wind, solar, and BESS assets. You will evaluate commercial opportunities with Finance, optimize deal terms, and manage relationships with potential offtakers including utilities and corporate customers.

The role reports to the VP, Head of Origination and requires collaboration across Finance, Legal, and Operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years experience in power marketing, origination, transactions, or project financing.
• Degree in finance, economics, business, engineering, or related field.
• Knowledge of financing structures and PPA contract scenarios.

Responsibilities

• Identify and pursue long-term PPAs and other offtake arrangements for operating wind, solar and BESS projects.
• Structure and negotiate commercial solutions balancing offtaker requirements with asset profitability.
• Develop detailed structuring models with Finance to evaluate PPA structures and pricing.
• Serve as the contact for utilities, energy retailers, corporate customers and other offtakers.
• Build relationships and source new origination opportunities.
• Support RFP processes as necessary.
• Collaborate with Finance to ensure PPA structures align with financing strategies.
• Work with Legal to finalize PPAs and related contracts.
• Track market trends to inform leadership on pricing and origination strategy.
