Each and every role in our organization makes a difference in our ability to change the world for the better. We believe electricity powers modern life. As part of our Power sector, you’ll help shape how electricity is generated, transmitted and delivered as global energy demands grow. From massive data centers to modernizing transmission systems, our industry‑recognized engineers and scientists have been at the forefront of grid transformation for more than a century. You’ll work side‑by‑side with these experts and contribute to reliable, resilient and sustainable power systems, helping communities thrive and industries expand. This isn’t just a job, it’s a chance to drive infrastructure forward, power innovation and leave your mark on our energy future.

Responsibilities

Preferred candidates will have a working knowledge of industrial‑ and utility‑scale power generation systems as required to carry out typical job duties which include mechanical equipment/pipe sizing; equipment/piping layout considerations; construction document development (P&IDs, system layout/installation drawings and specifications); engineer/equipment vendor submittal reviews, vendor/contractor communications; technical writing (reports, procurement specifications, etc.); code reviews; site visits; project planning; and working within an assigned budget and schedule. Significant experience with the design and specification of power generation fluid systems including steam, condensate, fuel gas, cooling water, compressed air, and similar systems is preferred.

Career Path

The candidate will be encouraged and trained to develop from a mechanical or lead engineer to a project engineer and ultimately into a project manager or engineering manager. Most tasks will be done in a collaborative manner involving engineers and designers from several other disciplines. The candidate will be expected to share the benefits of his or her experience with others, including mentoring less experienced engineers. Communication and leadership skills required to direct a small team of engineers and designers are also desired.
