Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an Electrical Engineer for our Industrial Business Unit to design and deliver complex substations and industrial power systems. This hybrid role can be based out of CDM Smith offices and involves collaboration with top engineering talent across the firm.

You will create electrical designs, conduct system studies, and develop technical papers to support knowledge management while mentoring junior engineers and coordinating with sales on project visibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• 3 years of related experience; travel may be required.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Create basic to moderately complex designs of electric master system plans and power systems.
• Conduct studies and electrical calculations for power systems and lighting layouts.
• Develop white papers or technical documentation to support knowledge management; submit designs for publishing.
• Update design requirements as necessary.
• Attend conferences to improve visibility of firm products and services with sales staff.
• Perform other duties as required.
• Mentor junior team members through technical guidance and reviews.
