Job summary

United Rentals is seeking a Power HVAC Mechanic (Service Tech I) in the Power/HVAC division. You will perform maintenance and minor repairs on diesel engines, HVAC equipment, and dehumidification/air purification systems.

The role emphasizes safety, customer service, and opportunities to advance within the Service Department. This position is Safety Sensitive and requires a valid driver’s license, basic mechanical skills, and the ability to lift up to 45 lbs.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic knowledge repairing and maintaining diesel engines or HVAC equipment.
• Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with common tools used for the position.
• Excellent customer service, teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform minor repairs and maintenance checks on equipment.
• Report equipment condition before and after usage.
• Demonstrate equipment for customers.
• Assist with loading and unloading of equipment.
• Other duties as needed.
