The Cope Station team of Dominion Energy South Carolina is seeking a candidate for Power Generation Maintenance I/II/III Technician in Cope, SC. There is one position which will be filled at the level commensurate with the successful candidate's education, experience, knowledge skills, and abilities. The successful candidate would be responsible for all troubleshooting related to maintenance of the mechanical equipment throughout the plant. Active participation in a safety-focus culture is required (to include wearing required personal protective equipment).

Minimum Requirements (Note: A partial year of related work experience of 6 months or greater will be considered one year towards the qualifications):

Power Generation Maintenance Technician I
• 0-2 years of work experience in mechanical maintenance or related field.

Power Generation Maintenance Technician II
• 2-4 years of work experience in mechanical maintenance or related field.

Power Generation Maintenance Technician III
• 5 + years of work experience in mechanical maintenance or related field.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities for All Levels:
• Must be in good physical condition and the ability to work during inclement weather.
• Must have a basic working knowledge of pumps, valves, compressors, and other related equipment. Must be willing to perform maintenance and repair on Turbines, Generators, Boilers, Gearboxes, Conveyors, and other Power Plant associated equipment.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds or more on a frequent basis, climb tall structures at extreme heights, and work overtime, callouts, and / or weekends as needed.
• Must be able to work independently and as a team player with a strong work ethic.
• Must have basic communication / human relations skills.
• Prefer experience in valve and pump repairs, flame cutting, mechanical maintenance, mechanical problem solving, and technical drawing interpretation. Welding, pipe fitting and machining experience is also preferred.
• Must be able to wear a respirator and maintain annual respirator requalification.
• Must be able to use precision measuring tools.
• Perform other job duties as assigned.

Education Requirements

Completion of High School or equivalent (.i.e., GED) is required
