Job summary

Ameren Missouri is seeking a Business Performance Specialist to support financial planning and reporting for Power Generation at the Callaway Nuclear Energy Center. The role emphasizes budget preparation, forecasting, and analytical reporting to optimize resources and performance.

The Senior Specialist will have 5+ years of accounting experience; a Master’s or CPA/CMA/CFA is preferred. Strong Excel skills and ability to work independently are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business is required.
• Five+ years of relevant accounting experience for Senior level; three+ years for Specialist.
• Master’s degree or CPA/CMA/CFA preferred.
• Strong Excel skills and Word proficiency required.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team; strong analytical and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit the annual budget with variances analysis.
• Forecast monthly expenditures and optimize resource utilization.
• Assess project performance and investigate variances from budget.
• Produce internal financial and operational reports and respond to ad-hoc requests.
• Provide financial consultation and portfolio management support (capital and O&M).
• Assist in department projects and prepare specialized reports and confidential documents.
• Develop department procedures to ensure compliance with policies.
• Coordinate submission of work order documentation.
• Analyze data sources to recommend process changes for better reporting.
• Prepare monthly accruals and interface with Plant Accounting.
