Job summary

Ameren seeks an Engineer to provide technical conscience and ownership of plant systems at the Callaway Energy Center. You will ensure safe, reliable operation, support regulatory compliance, and drive equipment optimization and performance monitoring.

You will review procedures, perform analyses, and collaborate with Operations, Maintenance and regulatory bodies to implement cost-effective maintenance and engineering changes. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering (ABET-accredited); PE/EIT preferred.
• Nuclear utility experience preferred.
• Leadership, analytical and communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage assigned technical programs, systems and design.
• Ensure NRC regulations and plant procedures compliance.
• Evaluate equipment conditions and determine corrective actions.
• Monitor system health through data, inspections, and walkdowns.
• Coordinate with Operations, Maintenance and regulators for cost-effective maintenance.
• Provide engineering support during outages and events.
• Review specifications and testing requirements for safety equipment.
• Develop engineering documents and design changes.
• Lead or participate in design reviews and hazard analyses.
