Job summary

Propell American LLC seeks a Shop & Field Service Technician to assemble, install, test, commission, troubleshoot, and repair power generation equipment in shop and at customer sites. The role covers mechanical and electrical work, field service, startup, preventative maintenance, and after-sales support, with a safety-sensitive environment.

Responsibilities include installation, wiring, diagnostics, startup, and customer training while ensuring quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical/vocational education in mechanical, electrical, diesel, or related field preferred.
• Experience with power generation equipment and field service is preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings.
• Strong problem-solving and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Install mechanical and electrical components per drawings and standards.
• Assemble and install power generation equipment and systems.
• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, diesel engine, electrical, and control failures.
• Travel to customer sites for installation, maintenance, and repairs.
• Perform testing, commissioning, and start-up activities.
• Maintain records of service actions and parts usage.
• Provide technical support and training to customers.
