United Engines is seeking a Power Generation Field Service Technician III in North Little Rock, AR to diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems at customer sites.

You will identify parts, perform load tests, and lead generator commissioning, ensuring equipment meets performance specs and safety standards. Requires HS/GED and 3–7 years of related experience; automotive/heavy equipment certification preferred.

Qualifications

  • Requires a High School Diploma or GED plus 3–7 years related experience.
  • Experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Technical certification in automotive, lift truck, heavy equipment and/or diesel engine repair preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose problems and perform complex repairs on customer equipment at the customer's location.
  • Identify and order parts required to complete repairs and maintenance.
  • Perform routine maintenance and complete work orders/time sheets accurately and timely.
  • Lead generator commissioning activities and conduct performance tests to ensure design specifications are met.

Job description

United Engines is Now Hiring a Power Generation Field Service Technician III at 11800 Maybelline Rd North Little Rock, AR 72117. Responsible for diagnosing problems and performing complex and/or major mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic repairs at the customer’s place of business on customer's equipment including refractory units, coil tubing units, pumping units, and other oil field equipment.

  • Accurately troubleshoot and diagnose all problems with customer's equipment.
  • Identify and order parts necessary to complete repairs and routine maintenance.
  • Perform complex and/or major repairs on customer's equipment. Replace parts and equipment as necessary.
  • Perform routine maintenance on equipment according to established guidelines and schedules.
  • Complete all work orders and time sheets in a legible, accurate and timely manner.
  • Assist lower-level Technicians in completing work assignments as necessary.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Perform all work in accordance with established quality standards and safety procedures.
  • Conduct load bank tests to ensure generators can handle their rated capacity and perform effectively under load.
  • Lead and perform generator commissioning activities, including verifying system installation, conducting performance tests, and ensuring all components function according to design specifications.

  • Ability to utilize the available time to organize and complete work within given deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate in writing clearly and concisely.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with others using the spoken word.
  • Ability to take care of the customers’ needs while following company procedures.
Education/Experience
  • High School Diploma or General Education (GED) and three to seven years related experience.
Computer Skills
  • Basic computer navigation and utilization skills required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) preferred.
  • Ability to utilize laptop computers and portable diagnostic tools required.
Certificates & Licenses
  • Technical certification in automotive, lift truck, heavy equipment and/or diesel engine repair required.
