Job summary

DC Army National Guard is seeking a Power-Generation Equipment Repairer to support military operations by maintaining and repairing power-generation equipment and related systems.

You will learn diesel generator operation, electrical generation and distribution, and how to adjust voltages and frequencies using technical publications.

Training lasts about 10 weeks of Basic Training and 12 weeks of Advanced Individual Training; you will earn a regular paycheck and qualify for tuition assistance.

Qualifications

• Enlistment in the Army National Guard is required.
• You must be at least a junior in high school, or hold a high school diploma or GED.
• Candidates are typically ages 17–35.
• Training includes 10 weeks of Basic Training and 12 weeks of Advanced Individual Training.
• Maintenance of power-generation equipment is performed as part of duties.
