Job summary

Competitive Power Ventures, Inc. (CPV) seeks a driven candidate to lead development, execution, and management of greenfield natural gas, hydrogen, and carbon capture projects in the US. The role is based in Braintree, MA and reports to the Senior Vice President, Development.

Responsibilities include planning development, negotiating agreements, managing permitting, and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to drive projects to financial close and successful execution.

Qualifications

  • Energy project development experience with full lifecycle, including financial closing.
  • Bachelor’s degree is required.
  • Self-starter, organized, able to work with personnel at all levels; strong facilitation skills.
  • Strong financial modeling skills: NPV/IRR analysis.
  • Understanding of real estate matters and related complexities.
  • Ability to gather and analyze complex information; effective problem solving.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute development for identified projects.
  • Negotiate necessary development agreements.
  • Manage permitting processes and related activities.
  • Develop local community support for the project.
  • Manage relationships with potential off-takers and commercial agreements.
  • Coordinate title curative efforts with external consultants and internal teams.
  • Lead external consultants and coordinate with engineering, finance, and legal teams.
  • Report progress, budget, and schedule updates to Management.
