Overview

Sargent & Lundy Energy & Industrial Group (EIG) works on behalf of clients to support electric power projects. We evaluate and optimize technical, commercial, environmental, and financial aspects of the projects for a variety of clients. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced engineering consultant specializing in geothermal power projects. This role offers a remote work arrangement. You'll have an option to work out of the Englewood office if required.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will provide development support, conceptual design and detailed engineering design oversight within the EIG project portfolio in support of geothermal power projects. You will also have the opportunity to support project economic and cost analysis, risk assessments, and contract development. Your responsibilities will include engineering design reviews, technical due diligence, project development support, and conceptual design. Particular experience in mechanical and/or chemical design of thermal power projects is desired.

Qualifications

Essential skills and experience:

  • This position requires a BS in mechanical or chemical engineering from an ABET Engineering Accreditation Commission-approved program with a strong academic background.
  • 20 or more years of experience in the electric power industry, including experience in detailed design of the mechanical systems of thermal power projects, specifically geothermal

  • Experience in development support, conceptual design and detailed design of these types of thermal power projects.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively present technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet project deadlines.
Valued but not required skills and experience
  • Experience in technical due diligence and owner's engineering design reviews of thermal power projects is a plus.
  • General understanding of power station operations and performance reviews is a plus.
  • General understanding of process design at electric power generation facilities is a plus.
  • Economic, cost analysis, and contract development experience is a plus.
  • A familiarity with international design codes and standards is preferred.

Compensation Range

$142,710.00 - $215,440.00
