Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced sourcing leader in Dearborn, MO to own end-to-end procurement for power electronics programs. You will lead supplier negotiations, implement should-cost analyses, and drive aggressive cost reductions while partnering with engineering on BOMs and manufacturing processes.

The role requires deep experience in automotive/electronics sourcing, strong project management, and the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders to meet program targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or Business.
• 5+ years in purchasing, strategic sourcing, supply chain, or related function within automotive/electronics/manufacturing.
• Experience leading supplier negotiations, commercial sourcing, cost analysis, and contract execution.
• Experience working cross-functionally with engineering and suppliers in a technical product development environment.
• Knowledge of power electronics or electronic components, BOM structures, tooling investments, and key cost drivers.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, project management, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and supplier partners.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end sourcing across multiple power electronics programs.
• Own supplier market assessments, RFIs/RFQs, supplier selection, and contract execution.
• Drive competitive cost performance through should-cost analysis, benchmarking, and cost estimating.
• Partner with engineering to understand BOMs, designs, and cost drivers.
• Develop commodity strategies including pricing, tooling, and capacity planning.
• Manage sourcing deliverables to align with engineering milestones and launch objectives.
• Collaborate with global teams to mitigate commercial, supply, and capacity risks.
• Monitor supplier performance and drive continuous improvement in cost, quality, and delivery.
