Job summary

Shield AI is advancing autonomous aviation with cutting-edge AI and power electronics for its XBAT aircraft. We seek a Power Engineer II to lead design and validation of power systems, from concept to flight, across HV/LV domains, batteries, and power distribution.

You will own hardware development cycles, drive safety and reliability, and collaborate across Mechanical, Embedded, and Production teams to deliver high-integrity solutions.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 1+ years as an Electrical Engineer with power-electronics exposure.
• Experience with circuit design, schematic capture, testing, and debugging.
• Familiarity with Altium or equivalent and lab equipment.

Responsibilities

• Design HV and LV power systems for aircraft hardware.
• Develop DC-DC converters, inverters, motor controllers, and battery management.
• Lead board bring-up, testing, HALT, and validation across power ranges.
• Collaborate with Mechanical, Software, and Production teams throughout the lifecycle.
