Job summary

Rise Technical Recruitment Ltd in Austin, TX is seeking a Power Electronics Engineer to help move cutting-edge bidirectional solid-state switches from development to commercialization. You will design, validate, and characterize hardware, and own parts of the prototype loop.

You'll work on DC-DC/DC-AC converters, PCB layouts, and hands-on lab testing, with opportunities to grow into technical or leadership roles as the product scales.

Qualifications

• Degree in EE / Power Electronics (PhD/MS with +2 years’ experience, or BS +4 years).
• Hands-on experience with simulation and PCB design.
• Experience with DC-DC or DC-AC converters or inverters.

Responsibilities

• Develop, validate and characterize bidirectional power switch devices/modules and supporting hardware.
• Design PCBs for converters, inverters and solid-state circuit breaker applications.
• Build prototypes, create validation test plans, and execute hands-on lab testing.
