Pike Corporation seeks a Distribution Engineering Technologist (Level 2) to design residential and small to mid-size commercial/industrial distribution facilities. You will evaluate complex options and ensure safe, cost‑effective, reliable designs using client workflows and standards.

The role involves field validation, documentation, and collaboration with customers and internal teams to meet project goals, timelines, and reliability targets.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 1–3 years of utility power distribution engineering or related work experience.
• Ability to read and interpret procedures and technical documentation.
• Ability to write reports and communicate with customers and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Interpret applicable codes, standards, and guidelines.
• Maintain records and update company/client systems.
• Develop electrical distribution designs for overhead/underground facilities.
• Create safe, cost‑effective designs for diverse projects.
• Prepare project materials and construction drawings; request materials.
• Coordinate with field personnel and client representatives.
• Create work requests and communicate schedules and feasibility.
• Apply reliability principles to address power quality issues.
