Yampa Valley Electric Association in Steamboat Springs seeks an electrical engineer to support substation and distribution systems design, operation, and planning. You will use engineering software for power flow, protection coordination, arc flash studies, and power quality investigations.

In this role you’ll assist with construction work plans, equipment specs, SCADA/AMI system updates, OMS connectivity, and interconnection reviews for distributed resources.

Responsibilities

• Use engineering software for system planning, power flow, short circuit analysis, arc flash studies, and power quality investigation.
• Perform system planning and operational engineering with power flow modeling, system protection and coordination, arc flash and PQ studies; prepare reports and procedures.
