Job summary
A leading research laboratory in Batavia is looking for a Power Distribution and Cable Management Systems Engineer to design, install, and maintain electrical power systems critical for particle accelerators. Responsibilities include project management, procurement, and system performance analysis. The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and at least 5 years of relevant experience. Qualifications
Demonstrated ability to learn new concepts and ideas.
Experience with test equipment, experience with switchgear a plus.
Abide by all environmental, health and safety regulations.
Responsibilities
Lead projects related to power supplies and electrical power.
Plan and manage electrical distribution projects.
Analyze system failures and recommend solutions.
Skills
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering
Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical power systems
Familiarity with high power thyristor or rectifier systems
Experience in design of low and/or medium voltage high power distribution
Proficient with Microsoft Office
Knowledge in electrical distribution simulation tools, ETAP or SKM
Education
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from an ABET accredited institution
