Job summary

Grant PUD is seeking engineers at III–V levels to develop, maintain, and improve electrical engineering standards supporting transmission, distribution, substations, and generation. You will interpret standards for multiple teams, conduct technical reviews, and drive cost-effective, compliant solutions.

Depending on experience, responsibilities range from documenting standards and reviews to leading governance, equipment strategy, and mentoring junior engineers within a safety-conscious utility

Qualifications

• All levels require a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field OR equivalent relevant experience (4 years in lieu of degree).
• Engineer III: 3+ years; Engineer IV: 6+ years; Engineer V: 10+ years.
• Preferred Qualifications include Master’s degree, Washington State Engineering in Training, and Professional Engineer certification.

Responsibilities

• Develop and update engineering standards for transmission, distribution, substations, or generation systems.
• Interpret and enforce utility standards and technical requirements for teams and projects.
• Lead capital project design reviews, compliance assessments, and vendor evaluations.
