Job summary

Kimley-Horn's Plymouth Meeting, PA office is seeking an Electrical Engineer with 4+ years of experience to join their Power Delivery team. This is not a remote position.

You will lead the design of electrical systems for renewable generation, storage, and utility-scale substations, and develop design documents, calculations, and reports. Collaboration across offices and mentoring responsibilities are expected.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in an Electrical Engineering role.
• Professional Engineering (P.E.) License (or ability to obtain within 12 months).
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Understanding of NEC, NESC, IEEE and ANSI standards.
• Willingness to travel for site visits and meetings.
• Ability to work in a team and mentor junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and analysis of electrical systems for renewables, storage, and substations.
• Prepare design documents, layouts, schematics, and one-line diagrams.
• Collaborate across Kimley-Horn offices on multi-disciplinary projects.
• Develop specifications, cost estimates, and proposals to grow Power Delivery services.
• Mentor and grow a team within the Power Delivery practice.
• Develop reports and designs including solar sizing and power analyses.
