Job summary

GE Aerospace in Bohemia, NY seeks a Design Engineering Leader for Power Conversion and Control Products to direct multiple engineering groups through design, development, integration, qualification, and lifecycle support. This role sets technical direction and drives cross-functional alignment to meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives.

You will lead across disciplines, manage NPI and sustaining work, and build organizational capability through coaching and standard work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, Controls, or related field.
• 6+ years of experience leading engineering teams from development through qualification.
• Experience leading managers and senior technical leaders.
• Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set technical direction for power conversion and control products, translating needs into priorities and roadmaps.
• Lead across disciplines by developing functional managers and senior technical leaders.
• Drive day-to-day execution for both NPI and sustaining work, managing scope and resourcing.
