Job summary

AtC-2 Utility Contractors, LLC is seeking an Operator Power Construction Equipment to operate heavy machinery at job sites and assist with storm-response and routine construction tasks. The role requires handling physically demanding tasks, following safety rules, and traveling for storm responses as needed.

Compensation ranges from $28.00 to $38.00 per hour, with benefits including weekly pay, PTO, holidays, and a 401(k) match.

Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Authorization to work in the United States for this company.
  • High school diploma, GED, or relevant work experience.
  • Valid state driver’s license with at least two years of driving experience and clean record.
  • Six months of supervised equipment operation experience.
  • Ability to work well solo and in teams.
  • Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and extended hours.
  • Ability to work safely in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Operate diesel or gasoline-powered equipment at job sites and during transit.
  • Perform general construction tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds and using hand tools.
  • Follow directions to deliver quality work and maintain safe conditions per regulations.
  • Restore excavated areas by backfilling trenches and leveling surfaces as directed.
  • Travel for storm response with short notice.
  • Determine voltages and related hazards.
  • Review and adhere to minimum approach distances.
  • Demonstrate positive working relationships with teams.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
