Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, engineering or related field.
- 3–5 years of power trading experience, congestion focus preferred.
- Strong understanding of power markets, pricing, and congestion drivers.
Responsibilities
- Monitor congestion patterns and identify trading opportunities in congested areas.
- Use forecasting models and market data to predict congestion and price impact.
- Analyze market conditions and regulatory changes affecting congestion.
- Develop trading strategies to exploit price discrepancies due to congestion.
- Execute trades in day-ahead and real-time markets to manage risk.
- Manage positions across day-ahead, real-time, and forward markets.
- Collaborate with traders, analysts, and operations to refine strategies.
- Provide timely reports on trading activity, market conditions, and P/L.
