Job summary

Hitachi Energy in Alamo, TN is seeking a Power Components Assembler for first and second shifts. This entry-level role follows safety and work procedures to stock parts, assemble from drawings or BOMs, wire panels and switches, and perform basic tests on de-energized components.

You will work with a team, learn new equipment, read wiring schematics, and adhere to Hitachi Energy’s safety and integrity values.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or certification in industrial/mechanical engineering or related field.
• Must have work authorization to work in the United States for Hitachi Energy.
• One year of experience in a manufacturing assembly setting preferred.
• Able to lift up to 40 lbs safely.

Responsibilities

• Assemble from drawings or bill of materials and wire panels and switches.
• De-energize tap changers and power transformer components as needed.
• Package materials to meet procedures, standards, and customer requirements.
• Read and comprehend safety procedures, work instructions, and wiring schematics.
• Work within a team with minimal supervision on routine tasks and train on new equipment.
