Job summary

Zoolatech is building a modern, scalable Power BI platform to empower teams across data, analytics, and operations. You will own architecture, governance, and automation, shaping how reports and dashboards are created and deployed at scale.

You will design IaC for Azure services, implement CI/CD for BI artifacts, and ensure secure, auditable access. Collaboration with data engineering and product teams is essential to drive platform improvements.

Qualifications

• 4–8 years of experience in data engineering, BI platform administration, or DevOps roles.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Proven experience managing and scaling enterprise Power BI environments, including administration, governance, and automation.
• Strong understanding of Power BI architecture: workspaces, capacities, gateways, dataflows, and deployment pipelines.
• Deep experience with IaC (Terraform, Bicep) and policy-as-code (Azure Policy, OPA).
• Proficiency in DevOps tools and practices: CI/CD, version control, automated testing, and release management.
• Solid understanding of cloud data systems (Azure Synapse, Databricks, Delta Lake, SQL/NoSQL).
• Experience integrating Power BI with APIs, SDKs, and external data sources.
• Familiarity with observability tools (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Power BI Audit Logs) and data quality frameworks.
• Security and compliance awareness: RBAC and data residency considerations.

Responsibilities

• Own the architecture and evolution of the Power BI platform, including governance and capacity management.
• Define and maintain IaC for Power BI and related Azure services.
• Automate provisioning, access control, and policy enforcement for fast, secure analytics.
• Define CI/CD pipelines for Power BI datasets, reports, and dashboards.
• Establish monitoring and observability for usage, performance, and lineage.
• Collaborate with data platform and engineering teams to integrate Power BI with broader data infrastructure.
• Lead incident response and post-mortems; set SLOs/SLIs.
• Influence platform roadmap and cross-functional initiatives through leadership.
