Job summary

CGS Federal is seeking a Power BI Developer to support a large federal agency with data analytics and reporting needs. The role focuses on building Power BI models, integrating Azure services, and delivering dashboards in a timely fashion.

Ideal candidates have 2–4 years of BI development experience, strong SQL skills, and familiarity with ETL/SSAS/SSIS/SSRS. This full-time position is based in New York, NY, and part of the Information Technology department.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field is required.
• 2-4 years of development experience in data analytics technologies.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft enterprise cloud technologies and Azure.
• Experience with SQL and relational databases.
• Experience in Agile project deliveries and tight timelines.
• Web API experience and Azure DevOps familiarity.
• ETL, SSAS, SSIS, SSRS experience and reporting knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Build Data Analytics enterprise models using Power BI.
• Develop tabular and multidimensional models to meet warehouse standards.
• Create self-service models and analytics using Power BI service.
• Work with Azure services (Power BI, Flow, Cortana, etc.).
• Handle data gateway, data integration, and self-service prep.
• Publish, schedule, and automate reports and dashboards.
• Assist users with data requirements to improve models.
• Participate in requirement analysis, design, and prototyping.
• Ensure data analytics security layer models are properly implemented.
• Experience with geographical mapping tools (ESRI or similar) is a plus.
• Collaborate with government personnel at CTO/SES level.
