Job summary

SFE is seeking a Power BI Developer for an on-site contract role in Phoenix, AZ. The ideal candidate has 4–8 years of experience and strong expertise in Power BI Desktop/Service, SQL, data modeling, and ETL/ELT processes.

The role involves connecting to diverse data sources, designing dashboards with KPI metrics, and ensuring data quality and performance for large datasets. The position is on-site in Phoenix with contract status and a focus on delivering robust BI solutions using Power BI

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on with Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service.
• Advanced SQL skills: joins, CTEs, subqueries, window functions, optimization.
• Data modeling: star schema, facts, dimensions, relationships.
• ETL/ELT processes, data integration, data quality validation.
• Connecting Power BI to SQL Server, Excel, SharePoint, APIs, cloud sources.

Job Summary

• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service.

• Strong SQL skills, including complex joins, CTEs, subqueries, window functions, and query optimization.

• Experience with data modeling, including star schema, fact tables, dimension tables, and relationships.

• Knowledge of ETL/ELT processes, data integration, and data quality validation.

• Experience connecting Power BI to SQL Server, Excel, SharePoint, APIs, and cloud data sources.

• Knowledge of dashboard design, data visualization, KPI development, and reporting best practices.

• Experience with Power BI Gateway, scheduled refreshes, workspace management, and Row-Level Security.

• Understanding of performance optimization for large datasets and complex reports.
