Job summary

Novalink Solutions LLC is seeking a contract Power BI Developer for the State Corporation Commission in Virginia. The role focuses on designing, building, and maintaining reporting and analytics solutions across the agency.

Initial term is one year with potential extensions, and local RVA candidates or those within two hours' drive are preferred. The candidate will work on Power BI reports, portals, and semantic models, leveraging Dataverse data models, SQL Server, Azure Blob Storage, and Cosmos

Qualifications

Professional experience developing BI and reporting with Power BI.
Strong DAX, time intelligence, and performance optimization.
Strong Power Query and M for data prep.
Proficiency in SQL and relational data sources.
Experience with dimensional data modeling and star schemas.
Experience building Power BI reports with Dataverse/Dynamics 365.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain Power BI reports, dashboards, and semantic models.
Build reporting solutions on Dataverse data models and existing tables.
Develop data connections and transformations using Power Query and SQL-based sources.
Optimize DAX measures and relationships for performance and accuracy.
Collaborate with stakeholders to translate reporting needs into visuals.
Support multiple product teams and agency priorities for reporting needs.
Document models, data sources, and refresh dependencies.
