Job summary

Amplytico, a San Francisco–based energy analytics consultancy, seeks a Power BI Developer to design end-to-end BI solutions and translate business needs into technical specifications. You will build data models with DAX, optimize reports, and guide governance for enterprise Power BI environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field (CS, IS, etc.).
• 4+ years of experience with Microsoft Power BI development.
• Advanced knowledge of DAX and data modeling.
• Proven track record of successful implementations.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement end-to-end Power BI solutions tailored to specific business requirements.
• Develop complex data models using DAX to solve sophisticated business problems.
• Create intuitive, interactive dashboards that effectively communicate key business insights.
• Implement efficient ETL processes using Power Query for data preparation and transformation.
• Optimize performance of Power BI reports and data models for enterprise-scale solutions.
• Consult with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into technical specifications.
• Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting for existing Power BI implementations.
• Train client teams on Power BI and DAX fundamentals to ensure knowledge transfer.
• Implement data governance and security protocols within Power BI environments.
• Establish reporting frameworks and best practices for sustainable analytics.
• Document technical specifications and create user guides for implemented solutions.
• Stay current with Power BI updates and incorporate new features into client solutions.
