Job summary

Lippert is seeking a Powdercoat Lab Technician to perform daily quality control activities for the powdercoat line and coordinate preventative maintenance with the maintenance department. You will analyze data for trends, establish performance metrics, and perform titrations, reporting results to management while ensuring customer performance requirements are met.

The role involves lifting up to 75 pounds regularly and up to 110 pounds occasionally, in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• 2-5 yrs laboratory manufacturing and quality inspection experience with knowledge of titrations.
• Basic computer skills including Word and Excel.
• Ability to lift between up to 75 pounds on a regular basis, and up to 110 lbs occasionally.
• Preferred: CQI-12 and IATF16949 certifications; forklift experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, clean and presentable workplace.
• Perform quality assurance checks on pre-treatment wash tanks and maintenance tasks.
• Establish and maintain performance metrics on daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
• Analyze data for trends, take corrective action and report performance to management.
• Perform titrations and report generation and record retention.
• Ensure customer performance requirements are met.
• Support in controlling high quality finished product through inspection, analysis, and liaison with Quality and Maintenance.
• Collaborate with Powdercoat Manager to resolve line performance and quality issues.
• Carry out other duties as directed by supervisor and management.
