The Powder Paint & Finishing Technician is responsible for the application of powder paint, and final assembly of trailers to meet quality standards and production deadlines.

Essential Specific Job Duties

• Load and prepare trailers and parts for powder coating by following move ticket and shop copy instructions.
• Have a general understanding of paint line system, including recipes and shut down procedures.
• Set up and operate powder coating guns and equipment.
• Apply powder coatings according to color and thickness specifications.
• Perform color changes and end of shift cleaning to prevent contamination.
• Meets production deadlines and notifies Supervisor of any production delays.
• Striping and touch up duties as needed.
• Reads and interprets blueprints, shop drawings, checklists and job packet information in order to assemble trailers and/or components correctly.
• Assembles parts/units to customer specifications and tolerances.
• Installs decking and all bolt on accessories on trailers (cuts decking as needed).
• Installs basic electrical components on trailers.
• Reviews trailer checklist to assure all tasks are completed before moving trailer onto finalInspection.
• Adheres to quality standards at all times.
• Follow safety procedures, including the use of PPE, at all times.
• Improves self in any way possible to enhance job performance.
• Maintains cleanliness of the powder coat booths, spray guns, and surrounding work areas.
