Interstate Powder Coatings is seeking a Powder Coating Painter to spray colored powder onto metal parts and ensure a flawless finish. The role requires careful attention, quick learning, and enthusiasm for a fast-paced shop environment.

You will prep parts, load and unload racks, and operate a forklift as needed. Strong detail orientation, time management, and teamwork are essential to meet daily production goals in a safety-focused facility.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; trade painting certificate a plus.
• Attention to detail, time management, and ability to work well with others.

Responsibilities

• Spray colored powder onto metal parts using spray guns.
• Prepare parts by washing, sandblasting, or sanding to ensure powder adhesion.
• Load/unload racks, operate a forklift to move parts and racks.
• Fill hoppers and replenish powder as needed.
• Inspect parts for runs, bumps, or color issues and document findings.
• Keep spray booths and work area clean; assist with basic repairs and 5S cleanup.
• Record daily activities in the computer system.
• Collaborate with team to meet daily production goals.
• Follow all safety rules at all times.
