Job summary

Douglas Dynamics, Inc. is hiring a Powder Coater/Painter in the Milwaukee area to join our manufacturing team on a temp-to-hire basis. You will set up and operate finishing equipment, apply coatings, and contribute to quality control across product lines.

You will work under supervision to maintain high safety and workmanship standards, rotate tasks with teammates, and participate in 5S and continuous improvement initiatives. This is a hands-on role in a dynamic industrial environment.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs repetitively and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate finishing equipment, including hanging, masking, shot blasting, and passivation.
• Perform quality control on finished products.
• Troubleshoot and perform routine maintenance on equipment as needed.
• Rotate tasks with other team members and participate in 5S activities.
• Support production goals and contribute to continuous improvement.

THE ROLE

We are seeking a Powder Coater/Painter for temp to hire to join our team and help drive our continued success. This role plays an important part in supporting our customers, strengthening our business, and contributing to the long-term growth of Douglas Dynamics.

How You Will Contribute

Under the direction of the Powder Coat Supervisor and Lead, effectively perform a variety of finishing operations of parts and components for product lines.

How You’ll Make a Difference

• Set up and operates equipment and machinery to include hanging, masking, shot blasting, passivation and operate power/hand tools as needed.
• Practices quality control for finished products.
• Perform routine maintenance functions and trouble shooting of equipment as needed
• Job rotation with other team members
• Participate in 5s activities.
