Job summary

Mancan is seeking a skilled painter/powder-coater for precision sheet metal parts. This 1st shift role runs 7am–3:30pm, Monday–Friday, performing wet paint or powder coating on manufactured metal products and preparing parts for finishing processes.

You will set up washing equipment, mask per drawings, and manage loading on conveyors, with emphasis on coating quality and thickness control. Lifting up to 50 pounds is required.

Qualifications

• Requires 5+ years in painting and powder coating of precision sheet metal fabrications.
• Shift: 1st shift, 7am–3:30pm, Monday–Friday.
• Willingness to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Paints or powder coats surfaces of manufactured metal products using spray gun.
• Sets up an industrial washer for cleaning parts.
• Masks parts as necessary per drawing.
• Loads parts on conveyor.
• Mixes coating and color; pours powder into hopper.
• Sets the oven to specified temperature to bake paint or powder.
• Checks parts after baking for correct paint thickness with a mil thickness gauge.
• Removes parts from conveyors and demasks as required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds; standing, walking, reaching and bending.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of prior experience in painting and powder coating of precision sheet metal fabrications.
• 1st shift, 7am - 3:30pm, Monday - Friday.
• Up to $25.00 per hour based on experience and skill level.

Responsibilities

• Paints or powder coat surfaces of manufactured metal products with wet paint or powder using spray gun.
• Sets up an industrial washer for cleaning parts.
• Masks parts as necessary per drawing.
• Loads parts on conveyor.
• Mixes coating, liquid to desired color, or pours powder into hopper.
• Sets the oven to specified temperature to properly bake paint or powder.
• Checks parts after baking to ensure correct paint thickness using mil thickness gage.
• Removes parts from conveyors and demasks as required.
• Ability to lift, up to 50 pounds. Mobility requirements: standing, walking, reaching, and bending.
