Job summary

Swift Transportation is hiring immediately for a Powder Coater Helper in Phoenix. You will perform preparation work and apply powder paint, ensuring correct thickness and color per leadership instructions while meeting quality standards.

Responsibilities include surface preparation, operating spray guns and related equipment, managing wash/cure ovens, and inspecting coating quality. Prior experience and strong data entry skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience or training required.
• Demonstrated/proven superior customer service skills.
• Data entry skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces and apply powder paint as directed by leadership.
• Clean and prepare surfaces (e.g., wheels) for powder coating.
• Operate powder spray guns and related equipment (sandblasting, hopper, booth systems).
• Operate wash systems and cure/dry ovens within safe operating ranges.
• Meet coating standards for efficiency, quality, and productivity; report issues to foreman.
• Inspect coating quality using thickness gauges or visuals.
• Assist in cleaning, maintenance, and repair of equipment.
• Move, load, and unload parts safely around the coating area.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
