Job summary

InnerSpace is seeking a Powder Coat Operator for first shift to join our manufacturing team. This role involves applying high‑quality powder coating to metal parts, assemblies, and finished products while ensuring all work meets quality and safety standards.

The ideal candidate has experience operating powder coating or industrial paint equipment and takes pride in delivering a consistent, high-quality finish.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Minimum 6 months of powder coating, industrial painting, or paint line experience.
  • Experience operating industrial spray equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret work instructions and safety documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Apply powder coating to metal parts, assemblies, and completed products.
  • Set up and adjust powder coating equipment, selecting nozzles and settings for even coverage.
  • Prepare surfaces by cleaning, masking, and inspecting parts prior to coating.
  • Use spraying techniques to minimize overspray and waste.
  • Inspect finished parts for coating quality and defects requiring rework.
  • Maintain and clean paint equipment and work area.
  • Follow safety procedures and wear PPE.
  • Read and follow work instructions and production documents.
  • Assist with other production duties as needed.

Job description

InnerSpace is seeking a Powder Coat Operator to join our manufacturing team on first shift. This position is responsible for applying high‑quality powder coating to metal parts, assemblies, and finished products while ensuring all work meets company quality and safety standards.

The ideal candidate has previous experience operating powder coating or industrial paint equipment and takes pride in producing a consistent, high‑quality finish.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Apply powder coating to metal parts, assemblies, and completed products
  • Set up and adjust powder coating equipment, including selecting the proper nozzles and settings to ensure even, consistent coverage
  • Prepare surfaces by cleaning, masking, and inspecting parts prior to coating
  • Use proper spraying techniques to minimize overspray and material waste
  • Inspect finished parts to verify coating quality and identify any defects requiring rework
  • Maintain paint equipment and keep the paint line and work area clean and organized
  • Follow all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Read and follow work instructions, production documents, and safety procedures
  • Assist with other production duties as needed
Required
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 6 months of powder coating, industrial painting, or paint line experience
  • Experience operating industrial spray equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret work instructions and safety documentation
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Reliable attendance and dependability
Preferred
  • Experience with electrostatic powder coating equipment
  • Manufacturing or metal fabrication experience
  • Experience inspecting painted parts for quality and consistency
