Job summary

Owen Industries’ PVF Finishing division in Carter Lake, IA seeks an experienced Powder Coat Paint System Technician to run the powder line with technical ownership. You’ll manage color changes, monitor equipment, perform maintenance, and direct the crew. This is not a helper role.

The position requires 5+ years of powder coating experience, leadership ability, and a focus on quality and delivery. Schedule is Monday through Thursday, four 10‑hour days, with Fridays off; compensation is $28–$31

Qualifications

5+ years of powder coating experience.
Hands-on powder coat line operations experience.
Ability to lead a team and maintain line flow while meeting schedules.
Experience with color changes, equipment settings, and quality inspection.
Familiarity with SAP or similar ERP systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

Manage and perform color changes on the powder coat line.
Monitor line flow and flex staffing to meet production schedules.
Coordinate product entering and exiting the system to meet customer delivery expectations.
Monitor equipment for proper settings and adjustments; perform routine maintenance.
Apply powder coatings using correct procedures; inspect for quality and coverage.
Maintain powder levels and storage areas; keep paint areas clean and organized.
Ensure SAP transactions are completed accurately and on time.
