Job summary

Aerotek in Poway, CA is seeking a Material Handler to support a busy manufacturing and warehouse operation. You will safely move materials using forklifts, pick and stage inventory, and document activities in ERP systems such as NetSuite.

The morning shift runs 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with starting pay at $19/hr that can rise to $20/hr on permanent status and up to $23/hr for this contract-to-hire role. This onsite position offers weekly pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of warehouse experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or manufacturing setting.
• Ability to load and unload materials safely and efficiently.
• Proficiency using RF scanners for inventory tracking and material handling.
• Experience with material transfers and inventory movement within a warehouse.
• Experience in manufacturing or production environments.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling materials and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate forklifts to move, stage, and organize materials throughout the warehouse and manufacturing areas.
• Load and unload materials, components, and finished goods from trucks and other delivery vehicles.
• Perform material transfers between different locations within the warehouse and manufacturing facility, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Use RF scanners to accurately pick, scan, and track inventory and materials.
• Support kitting activities by assembling and preparing materials and components according to work orders or production requirements.
• Maintain accurate inventory records by following established procedures and using ERP systems such as NetSuite.
• Follow all safety guidelines and warehouse procedures to maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and warehouse team members to ensure materials are available where and when they are needed.
• Identify and report any discrepancies, damaged materials, or inventory issues to the appropriate personnel.
• Assist with general warehouse tasks as needed to support smooth daily operations.
