Huntington Ingalls Industries, Newport News Shipbuilding is hiring a Pout Instructor Product Trainer 1 to plan, develop, and coordinate in-house training programs for field personnel and customers. You’ll prepare materials, develop content, and conduct training sessions while keeping material up to date.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) with related experience; Navy Nuclear Power School graduate or NNS Apprentice School graduate are acceptable alternatives.

The Role

Plans, develops, and coordinates in-house product training programs for field support personnel and customers. Obtains information needed to prepare in-house training programs; prepares training materials; develops course content; determines methodology; and coordinates the development of training aids. Conducts training sessions and develops criteria for evaluating effectiveness of training activities. May utilize trainers with technical expertise. Continuously revises lesson plans to meet new training requirements and to keep technical information up to date.

Must Have

Bachelor's degree and 0 years of exempt experience

One of the following may be used as equivalent to a bachelor's degree to meet minimum qualifications:

  • NNS Apprentice School graduate
  • High school and 5 years combined manufacturing, shipbuilding, trades, military experience or other relevant non-exempt experience
  • Graduation from Navy Nuclear Power School
Nice to Have

Main responsibility includes proctoring computer based training and exams.
