Job summary

Aviagen in Sallisaw, OK is seeking a hands-on farm worker to work with day-old chicks, assist with moving, weighing and vaccination tasks, and support day-to-day care of live animals. The role requires ability to stand long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in a farm environment, including exposure to odors, detergents, and noise.

You may work up to six days a week, including weekends and holidays, following animal care and bio-security guidelines.

Qualifications

• Ability to understand oral and written instructions and perform simple task.
• Ability to perform work that is repetitive in nature.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to grip, grasp, or twist using hands and wrist.
• Must be able to lift, carry, push, pull up to 50lbs.
• Bend and stoop throughout the shift.
• Animal husbandry experience preferred but not required.
