Job Title: Poultry Technical Service Manager

Department: Arm & Hammer Animal Nutrition (AHAN)

Reports To: Assoc. Director, Field Technical Services

Role Summary: Provide technical support as needed to regional sales personnel, key influencers, and distributors. Serve as an Arm & Hammer Animal Nutrition commercial and technical representative to manage the relationships with poultry producers and their network of influencers.

Role Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

  1. Deliver support aligned to defined sales targets for accelerated growth in the region.
  2. Interface with AHAN Marketing, Sales, Product Management and R&D functions to ensure support activities align with respective Functional Group Initiatives.
  3. Provide on farm customer support as coordinated by the sales organization.
  4. Provide support to poultry industry with special emphasis on preventative health management, disease diagnosis and interventions to achieve highest food safety standards.
  5. Field, log and respond appropriately to technical customer inquiries.
  6. Provide technical troubleshooting and customer problem solving.
  7. Develop and conduct internal & external customer technical training.
  8. Develop and conduct product/offering on farm demonstration trials.
  9. Interface with other Technical Services managers to facilitate collaborative idea exchange.
  10. Must be able to travel up about 60%.

Education and Experience:

  1. DVM or PhD in Poultry Nutrition with strong training/experience in health and management.
  2. Minimum of five years industry or university experience in technical support with primary expertise in poultry production systems.
  3. Expertise in Gut Health Management is desirable.
  4. Previous product development experience helpful.
  5. Proven track record of working in a team-based environment.

Skills and Competencies:

  1. Strong written and verbal skills and the ability to make professional presentations and proposals to both internal and external customers.
  2. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strategic customer relationships, handle multiple priorities and work in a self-direct manner.
  3. Experienced in preventative health management, disease diagnosis and use of prebiotics and probiotics.
  4. Strong PC skills to include MS Office.
