Qualifications

• Must have completed the Chicken Grow Out Training Program.
• Poultry raising experience preferred.
• Self-motivated with ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong supervisory and leadership abilities.
• Good mathematical and organizational skills.
• Basic written and verbal English communication.
• Able to lift 50 pounds and respond to alarms as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist Ranch Manager to oversee fryer ranch activities and functions.
• Set up ranch, brooding, temperatures, ventilation and mortality controls.
• Maintain ranch facilities and equipment, ensure sanitation and disease prevention.
• Manage production costs including labor, fuel, supplies, and maintenance.
• Maintain records for feed, mortality, fuel, production and energy use.
• Train and delegate duties to ranch personnel; enforce safety guidelines.
• Follow company standards and policies across ranch operations.
• Be alert to alarms and adverse conditions affecting chickens.
