Job summary

Butterball, LLC in Ozark, AR is seeking a Quality Assurance Grading Specialist for 8:00AM - 5:00PM. You will perform poultry grading and official certification activities under USDA standards, maintain accurate QA records, and support product holds when needed.

Responsibilities include sampling, evaluating products at grading stations, and communicating quality concerns to the QA leadership. A high school diploma and 3+ years of relevant experience are required; QA grader training is mandatory

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3+ years of relevant QA experience or ability to succeed in the role.
• QA Grader training must be completed upon hire and refreshed annually.

Responsibilities

• Perform random sampling and quality evaluations for USDA grading and certification adherence.
• Assess products at grading stations for defects, contamination, readiness-to-cook, and other criteria.
• Accurately record results, timestamps, downtime, and retainment data.
• Communicate nonconformities and required adjustments to QA leadership.
• Initiate or support product holds and ensure proper disposition of held products.
• Maintain QA hold logs, training records, label logs, and production data.
• Verify official grade marks and certification markings are used only on eligible products.
• Assist in verifying measuring equipment like scales and thermometers when applicable.
• Participate in USDA plant reviews, audits, and corrective actions as needed.
• Follow Plan-Do-Check-Act procedures to improve program integrity.
• Maintain collaboration with QA leadership, production, USDA auditors.
