Job summary

Butterball is seeking a production team member to transfer live turkeys from holding zones onto shackles on the processing line. The role requires performing repetitive tasks with emphasis on animal care, safety, and food safety standards within a busy meat processing facility.

Applicants with a High School Diploma or related background are preferred. No prior production experience is required, and candidates must understand HACCP, FDA, and OSHA requirements relevant to the job.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or related preferred.
• Entry level does not require previous experience in a Production role.
• Read and understand HACCP along with FDA and OSHA requirements as needed.

Responsibilities

• Transfer live birds from holding zone onto shackles on a processing line.
• Perform repetitive tasks without the assistance of tools.
• Adhere strictly to animal care and wellbeing, safety, and food safety standards and requirements.
• Follows all GMP and HACCP procedures that relate to product safety with the facility.
• Supports all Food Safety initiatives.
