Job summary

Maple Leaf Farms in Milford, IN, is seeking a Duck Handling Associate to move ducks between barns, round room, and belt while following Duck Well-Being, Care and Handling Guidelines.

You will collaborate with Live Production drivers to load ducks, operate with safety protocols, and perform equipment cleaning and reporting of irregularities. This role requires physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy loads; weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and comprehend written instructions in English (bilingual a plus).
• Strong communication skills and ability to work across departments.
• Must follow safety, biosecurity, and well-being guidelines.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and handle live poultry (up to 10 lbs).

Responsibilities

• Move ducks between barns, round room, and belt following guidelines.
• Collaborate with Live Production drivers to load ducks per OAWs.
• Handle fatigued ducks using totes and carts.
• Wash and sanitize market-age duck equipment as required.
• Report equipment malfunctions or air quality concerns to supervisor.
