Job summary

Happy Egg is seeking a Flock Planner to develop forward-looking flock placement plans and coordinate capacity with production needs. You will forecast hen requirements and align supply with operational schedules to optimize efficiency and animal welfare.

Collaborating with Live Operations, Supply Chain, Sales, and Farm Managers, you will model scenarios, manage data with planning tools such as Unitas, and lead projects that improve forecasting and scheduling across production cycles.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in animal science, agribusiness, supply chain, logistics, or related field preferred.
  • 3–5 years in poultry, livestock, or production planning; flock forecasting experience is a plus.
  • Strong Excel skills for data modeling, forecasting, and pivot tables.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional coordination abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain detailed flock placement plans to fit barn capacity and production cycles.
  • Monitor barn utilization, align schedules, and optimize space and animal welfare.
  • Model demand and timelines using planning tools and adjust plans proactively.
  • Collaborate with Live Operations, Supply Chain, Sales, and Farm Managers.
  • Create alternative scenarios to address risks such as disease or disruptions.
