Job summary

Handsome Brook Farms is seeking a Flock Advisor to service farms in the Northeast (PA/NY). The role focuses on on-site data collection, biosecurity, and ensuring organic certifications are met.

You will coordinate feed orders, review production data, and support onboarding for new producers. Ideal candidates bring poultry experience, strong organization, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• Experience working with poultry (preferably layers).
• Proficiency with Excel, Dropbox, and Gmail.
• Highly organized with strong time-management.
• Self-discipline with initiative and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Weekly service visits to assigned farms, bi-weekly check-ins as needed.
• Extensive on-site data collection (feed, water, bird weight, weights, ammonia).
• Submission of production data in Excel-based files with notes and photos.
• Coordinate feed orders and report quality issues.
• Review data with Live Operations, Compliance, and Feed teams.
• Set visitation schedule weekly on Google Calendar.
• Oversee biosecurity and organic/pasture-raised compliance at farms.
• Provide onboarding support and ensure farm construction meets requirements.
• Attend trainings and participate in audits as needed.
• Perform any other duties as required.
