Job summary

Handsome Brook Farms is seeking a Flock Advisor to service farms in the Northeast, ensuring biosecurity, animal welfare, and data-driven flock management. This role supports producers across PA and NY with on-site visits and regular data collection.

You will coordinate feed orders, maintain Excel records, and collaborate with Live Operations and Compliance teams to uphold certifications and standards. Travel will be required to partner farms and adapt to seasonal needs.

Qualifications

• Experience working with poultry or on farms.
• Proficient in Excel, Dropbox and Gmail.
• Highly organized with strong time-management.
• Self-discipline with minimal supervision.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Team player with a positive attitude and collaborative approach to work.
• Knowledge of animal welfare standards and biosecurity, and state/federal agriculture/farming regulations

Responsibilities

• Conduct weekly service visits to assigned farms and bi-weekly check-ins as needed.
• Collect on-site data (feed, water, bird weight, weights, ammonia, etc.)
• Submit production reports in Excel-based files with notes/photos.
• Coordinate feed orders with mills and report quality issues.
• Review data weekly with leads (Live Ops, Compliance, Feed).
• Schedule visits using Google Calendar and maintain biosecurity/compliance at farms.
• Assist with onboarding of new producers and ensure certification prep aligns with requirements.
• Support other on-farm duties and special projects as needed
