Job summary

Aviagen is seeking a Farm Associate I to support Poultry farm operations within the Aviagen suite. The role focuses on animal care and welfare, egg handling, and maintaining clean, safe housing for the birds.

Responsibilities include gathering eggs, monitoring flock health, feeding duties, data recording, and following strictly the animal welfare guidelines and bio-security policies. This is a hands-on, physically demanding position in a farm environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to understand oral and written instructions.
• Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills.
• Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks.

Responsibilities

• Gather eggs carefully to prevent breakage.
• Monitor flock health and mortality as directed.
• Maintain and clean poultry houses and equipment.
• Move feed and ensure access to birds.
• Record egg counts and data per instructions.
• Follow biosafety and animal welfare guidelines.
